The Little Orchestra aims are to create a welcoming and inspiring space for the enjoyment and discovery of great classical music, The orchestra puts on events in alternative venues, transformed for the occasion with beautiful lighting and design to reflect the stories and inspirations surrounding the music they are performing. Our task was to create a website that mirrored this experience, whilst allowing customers to purchase tickets and further the experience of the event.

Challenge
The Little Orchestra already had a great ethereal website that helped to extend the experience and feeling of the events, but it was a standalone website that was impossible to update and sell tickets from without a massive amount of energy and budget to change it for each event. Our challenge was to keep the ‘feel’ of the existing website, but to evolve it so that it could constantly be updated without the involvement
of third parties.
Solution
Our solution was to create a website that wasn’t hard with defined lines and content areas, but was softened with textured backgrounds and torn edges of paper to recreate the feeling that you could be in Beethoven’s study, as he created his classics by candle light. Beyond this beautiful front end design lies and content management system that could easily be updated with new events, imagery, music and integrated to sell tickets both online and through the venues.
Result
Is a beautiful website that embodies the warmth, creativity and passion that the music inspires. All underpinned by a website that can be constantly updated and evolved without our involvement. The torn edges allow us to soften the website images, but don’t requiring the user to have any photoshop skills as all of the work is handled by the CMS. Its a very different website for us, but one which we are equally passionate about.
