The purpose of BAT Science is to build a better tomorrow by reducing the health impact of our business
through offering a greater choice of less risky products for our consumers. The website is the focus point for
that research as they share the technology, science and innovations from their research and development teams. BAT Science needed a new website which could talk to its audience and display its work, findings and research in an engaging platform.
Igentics were approached to create a new website for BAT Science following a rebrand that covered both BAT and BAT Science. BAT Science needed a new website which could talk to its audience, display its work, findings and research in an engaging platform underpinned with the groups ‘OneWeb’ platform.
Our solution was to look at how the content and information was structured and displayed, reworking it into a platform that felt more like a scientific publication than a website. Utilising technology we developed a website which was full width and fully immersive by responding to a user as they journeyed through the site (expanding and collapsing 3d product views), 360° product views of each device to enable a user to explore both the exterior and workings of products.
Our layouts for the website bring the content to life by using subtle transitions and movements to ensure you only read the right piece of content at the right time, promoting user understanding and engagement. The result is a stunning website which brings all of the information, science and research to life.
